October 18 – The God Who Makes All Things New
Revelation 21:5
"He who was seated on the
throne said, 'I am making everything new!' Then he said, 'Write this down, for
these words are trustworthy and true.’"
SITREP:
Have you ever stared at the ruins of something once
strong—your life, your faith, your mission—and wondered if anything good could
rise from the wreckage? **Revelation 21:5 delivers a final and eternal promise:
**the One on the throne isn’t patching things up—He’s making everything
new.
Breaking Down the Verse:
·
"He who was seated on the throne
said," — This isn’t speculation—it’s a direct order from command authority.
The highest rank in the universe speaks.
·
"'I am making everything new!'" — Not
just fixing what’s broken, but recreating, renewing, resurrecting. That
includes people, pain, purpose—everything.
·
"Then he said, 'Write this down,'" —
This promise is not a passing thought. It’s mission-critical intel, worthy of
being permanently recorded.
·
"'for these words are trustworthy and
true.'" — When your world shakes, this stands. These aren’t hopeful
slogans—they are guaranteed outcomes.
This was spoken by the risen Christ in John’s vision of the
new heaven and new earth. After all the judgment, battle, and sorrow—Jesus
declares renewal as the final word.
The Ground Truth for Soldiers in This Verse:
Every warrior knows the battlefield doesn’t always leave
things intact. **Revelation 21:5 reminds every soldier of faith that no matter
the destruction, no matter the loss, no matter the scar—**God will one day make
it all new.
For combat veterans, this promise hits where the pain
lingers. You’ve seen things you can’t unsee. You’ve carried memories that armor
can’t block out.
You’ve walked through seasons where “hope” felt like a fantasy and “healing”
sounded too far off.
But this verse is your forward operating order:
God doesn’t just restore what you lost—He renews it into something greater.
·
Your wounds? Transformed.
·
Your grief? Redeemed.
·
Your broken past? Rewritten with eternal
purpose.
This isn’t spiritual fluff—it’s God’s direct declaration
of how your story ends. And it ends with newness, beauty, healing, peace, and
perfect strength.
Nothing you’ve lost will stay lost in the Kingdom to come.
Nothing broken stays broken in His hands.
ENDEX:
Your future isn’t a return to what was—it’s the beginning
of something better. Soldier, lift your head. The Commander on the throne
has spoken: everything will be made new. That includes the parts of you
no one sees—the broken places, the regrets, the scars. Stand on the truth
that can’t be shaken. The mission ends in victory—and renewal is your
inheritance.
AAR:
What parts of your life have you quietly given up on,
assuming they’re too far gone to ever be restored? Revelation 21:5 issues a
bold declaration from the throne: “He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I
am making everything new!’” Not patched up. Not recycled. New. That
includes your story, your wounds, your future. The Commander of heaven isn’t in
the business of half-repairs—He rebuilds from the ground up. Your challenge:
Name one area you’ve stopped praying about because it felt too broken, then
bring it back into the fight with the belief that God still rebuilds.
God Doesn't Restore to What Was—He Rebuilds to What Will Be
Revelation 21:5 isn’t a wish—it’s a war cry of hope from the
very throne of God. When He says He’s making everything new, that
includes the wreckage you thought was beyond recovery. God’s renewal isn’t
cosmetic—it’s total transformation. He doesn’t ask you to pretend the damage
didn’t happen. He steps into it and begins construction. Every scar, every
loss, every shattered dream can be rebuilt under His command. So stand up,
soldier. Your mission isn’t over. The King is still building—and this time,
it’s going to be better than new.
