Today's Mission

The War Within Needs More Than One Weapon

Every soldier knows you don’t step into battle with just one weapon. The fight inside — the one that lingers long after the uniform comes off — demands an arsenal of truth, not a single round of encouragement. That’s why The Tanker’s Testament isn’t one book. It’s a series — four volumes forged in the fire of military life and sharpened for the soul that refuses to quit. Each page speaks into the war every veteran, every fighter of the faith, carries within: guilt, fear, discipline, brotherhood, redemption. And now, the complete set is available in both Kindle and paperback . Whether you carry it on your device into the field or hold it in your hands at home, the Word is there for you — broken down, battle-tested, and ready for the next fight. 📖 Find the full series on Amazon here → The Tanker’s Testament Series This isn’t just a devotional. It’s your field manual for the unseen war — four volumes, one mission: to keep you strong in the fight and rooted in the only Commander who...

April 16 – God Finishes What He Starts

Philippians 1:6 –
"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (NIV)

SITREP:
Have you ever wondered if you’ve already done your part—if your time is up or your mission is over? If God called you to something, He will see you through it. Keep going—He’s not finished with you yet.

The Apostle Paul wrote these words to the Philippian believers while he was imprisoned in Rome. Despite his chains, his message overflowed with confidence and encouragement. The Philippians had supported Paul faithfully, but they too were under pressure—facing persecution and fatigue in their walk with Christ. Paul reminded them of something every warrior needs to hear: you’re not finished just because you’re tired.

God had begun something powerful in them—and He had no intention of leaving it half-built. The same is true for you.

How This Applies to a Soldier’s Faith:
If you’ve worn a uniform, you know the cost of commitment. You also know how easy it is to question your endurance when the mission drags on. This verse is your assurance that the One who enlisted you will finish what He started.

  • "Being confident of this…" – Confidence is critical in combat. Spiritually, our confidence is not in circumstances—it’s in the unshakable character of God.
  • "He who began a good work in you…" – You weren’t drafted by accident. God started something in you the day He called you—and He doesn’t call without purpose.
  • "Will carry it on to completion…" – Like a mission that unfolds in stages, spiritual growth is a process. God isn’t discouraged by your detours. He’s committed to your completion.

Whether you’re in the trenches, on the move, or feeling sidelined, God is still working. You are not forgotten. You are not finished.

ENDEX:
A soldier does not abandon the mission halfway through—and neither does God. He didn’t start something in you just to leave it behind. He’s in this for the long haul. When your strength fades, His doesn’t. When your vision blurs, His is clear. When you feel done, He’s still building.

So don’t retreat. Don’t assume your usefulness has ended.
He’s not done with you yet. Stay in the fight. Trust the One who called you. And keep going.
